Pumpkin Spice Latte Syrup

IMG_0061

It’s time for pumpkin overload this Fall, why not skip the never-ending Starbucks line and make your own at home. I have made this every Fall for the past 3 years. It’s perfect to share with friends as a gift, or just keep all to yourself. In the recipe below, be sure to strain the syrup twice, very important!! Otherwise it will be very grainy. It will keep, well sealed, in the fridge for up to a month. This recipe will make enough for 2 small mason jars.

Pumpkin Spice Syrup

2 cups water

2 cups sugar

¼ cup pure pumpkin filling

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

In a saucepan, simmer water, sugar, pumpkin filling, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk constantly for 10 minutes. Store in an airtight mason jar, up to 1 month. Add 1 to 2 tbs. to your favorite coffee along with warm milk or half and half.
