It’s holiday party season y’all! Time to pile on the sparkle and velvet, your finest earrings and perfume, and make your rounds to all of the fun parties. This week’s outfit is dedicated to those holiday parties and it’s actually comfy but dressy, score! The center of attention is a fun pair of sequin leggings, or velvet leggings embellished with sequins. I pair mine with a classic but dressy black top, this one or this one, and you must have the perfect pair of heels. I prefer to add a pop of color for my heels, but classic black heels work too. Be sure to add a fun clutch and a statement necklace as well. Merry Christmas and party your sequins off!
This week I’m taking a different approach and focusing on my favorite beauty products you can add to your Christmas wish list. I use each and every product I have listed here so these are tried and true. My skin is very sensitive, like don’t even look at it, so each of these products are safe for sensitive girls. My absolute favorite foundation is a BB cream and Dr. Jart’s BB Cream is by far the best I’ve found. It’s the only cream that is truly sensitive enough for me to use without drying my skin or giving me unwanted bumps. It has light, non-greasy coverage and stays all day. I have very fair skin, so I use the light-medium.
Focusing on the eyes, I use the Sephora eye pencil in matte black. It goes on smooth and lasts for several hours without running. The best part is the price, only $10!! I am so obsessed with eye palettes, Santa usually leaves one in my stocking each Christmas and these have been my favorites. The Bobbi Brown Luxe Nudes eye palette is versatile and goes with every day outfits, or fancy date night outfits too. The Stila matte and metal palette is the best for everyday use and the colors are so pretty!
My favorite every day blushes are the Sephora contour pots. They have so many colors and they are affordable at $14 each. My favorite color is Sweet on You. The hands down, best mascara I have come across is the Dior Show mascara in black. It’s pricey but far exceeds anything out there. It’s well worth the splurge!
My go-to nude matte lip stick is Mac Crème de Nude, and it looks gorgeous under the Lip Slip One Luxe Clear Gloss, which actually more of a light pink. For a fun Christmas party or date night, the absolute perfect matte red lipstick is L’Oreal Blake’s red, it’s the perfect shade of red and it stays all night! And I can’t leave the house without a spritz of my favorite perfume, the classic Coco Chanel Mademoiselle. When I get home and wash off all this fun make up, I always apply First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream. It’s so affordable and perfect for sensitive skin.
Each year I struggle to find cute outfits to wear to holiday events. My office throws casual work parties during the day and I never know what to wear! This outfit is perfect for such an occasion and is comfortable enough to wear all day at work, but appropriate for our casual Christmas party. I found this burgundy cardigan last year at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I wear it constantly! These faux leather leggings are so versatile and you can wear them with pretty much anything. I plan on pairing mine with a dressy top for Christmas parties at night. For my day, casual party, I paired mine with leopard heels, a white t-shirt, and a statement necklace. And I topped it off with a cute adorable clutch by Rebecca Minkoff. Happy shopping!
Have you started making your Christmas list for Santa yet? I had a hard time at first making my list since we have a baby on the way. My brain is on full time baby mode. So when everyone started asking me for ideas, I was blank, but not for long. Some of these fabulous items are practical, some are frivolous. But, I’m hoping if I’m really good, Santa will leave a few of them under the tree for me. Have you heard that I love Kori Green jewelry yet? Because a custom piece of hers is on my list. You can find her pieces here, they’re so unique and gorgeous. I’m also hoping for a few Nordstrom tops or sweaters found here, here and here. Both pair of these boots are also at the top of my list this year, who doesn’t need a great pair of velvet over the knee boots? And these suede over the knee boots have been an obsession of mine since summer! I try to get a new pair of sunnies each year, but it’s been a while for me, and these Ray Bans are at the top of my list as well. They come in so many different colors and you can customize your own if you want! And lastly, I’m hoping for a new watch from Santa, and the MVMT watches are a favorite of mine and my husbands. This one is my pick for this Christmas. Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!!
It’s so warm right now in Texas, makes me want to travel to Colorado so I can wear this outfit! This week I’m featuring a long classic black tunic sweater, paired with blue skinnies. This scarf is to die for and the print also comes in a poncho, how fun! And of course since I’m pretending to be in Colorado, I’m wearing my favorite Sorel snow boots. And y’all these boots are HALF OFF right now, you best get yourself some. Happy shopping!
This week I’m enjoying my classic Burberry jacket that I wear constantly. It goes with just about everything and is a good investment because you can wear it for years! I paired mine with a J. Crew Tippi sweater, also my favorite, and blue skinnies. And I’m topping this outfit off with black booties. And no outfit is complete without a little Kendra Scott statement piece and this one is on major sale! Happy shopping!
It’s freezing this weekend in Texas and we have an outdoor concert. What’s a pregnant girl to do? I scoured my closet and found this gem of a sweater poncho I got for my birthday! I paired mine with burgundy denim and a striped tee, and my favorite duck boots since they’re so comfy. Of course outdoor concerts require a good cross body you can wipe clean and this one is perfect! Stay warm y’all!
This week I’m excited to wear my J. Crew vests and this black one is my favorite. I have this vest in 3 colors, these are the best investment to make in clothes. I paired my black one with a camel sweater, also from J. Crew, and my Hunter rain boots in anticipation of the rainy days ahead. These babies are also a very good investment, mostly to wear in the rain. But, they are adorable with your Fall and Winter outfits. Mine are a custom pair from a few years ago, but they have a ton of colors and options. And I’m topping off my outfit with a cream scarf this week, find that here. Happy shopping!
We got a little taste of Fall here in Texas this week, so I’m excited to wear some of my warmer sweaters I bought for the season. Cream is at the top of my list when it comes to sweater colors and this cardigan is super soft and long, which I love! It goes with everything too. I’m pairing it this week with a burgundy top and leggings, but skinny jeans work just as well. Find my booties here. Accessorize with a cute necklace and bag. I’m wishing for cooler weather this week, so I’m forcing Fall to happen. Each of the pieces of this outfit are extremely versatile and very affordable, that’s why it’s one of my favorites. I mix each of these pieces in all sorts of ways, dress them up or wear them casual. They are all a staple in my closet. The striped tee is something I bought last year and I have worn it more than almost anything in my closet. My favorite part about it, is that it’s long enough to wear with leggings which is hard to find for me because I’m so tall (5’10”). These army green skinnies go with everything and they are so comfy. And my blanket scarf is seen just about everywhere in this print, I found mine here. Pair this look with some cute black booties and tassel earrings and you are good to go!
